Our story...
Some of my favorite memories come from the kitchen, and many of them begin with my grandma, Olinda. She passed away far too young, but I’m told that many of the recipes my mom and aunties have passed down to us over originally came from her. We may not use oleo anymore (thank goodness!), but my sisters, cousins, and I have all done our best to keep her special traditions alive, especially through the treasured recipes that have made their way through our family. And then there are the little things she passed down, too—like her uniquely bent pinky fingertips. It's a family trait that made its way to me and even to my daughter, a little reminder of Grandma that we carry with us every day. The only trouble is, Grandma didn't always write her recipes down! Some of the best ones were simply remembered, shared, and passed along—and I think there's something pretty special about that.I absolutely LOVE being a real estate agent, but baking is my therapy. There's just something about being in the kitchen late at night, whipping up a batch of cookies while trying not to wake the rest of my family, that makes me happy. It's my creative outlet, my happy place, and sometimes my excuse to stay up just a little too late.The only problem? I bake far more than a family of four could possibly eat!So, Sweet Traditions Baking Co. was born. It's my way of sharing the cookies I love to make, the recipes and traditions that mean so much to me, and a little homemade happiness with others.Whether these cookies remind you of your own grandma's kitchen, become a new family favorite, or simply satisfy a late-night sweet tooth, I hope they bring a little joy to your day.
